Our Nature's Classroom Outdoor Education trip will be October 22-26. If you have not yet signed up for this trip, please fill out an Interest Form and give it to Mrs. Hughes or your child's teacher as soon as possible.

If your child will not be participating in this field trip, he/she will be expected to attend school this week. There will be a teacher supervising students who remain here. Your child will be expected to complete the course work that willbe assigned by his/her techer and participate in environmental field trips planned for the rest of the school. We hope this will be an exciting week of learning for all our students.

This year, we ask that parents of participating students download medical/health/general informationforms from the Nature's Classroom web site: http://www.nciw.org. These forms must be completed, signed, and returned to the school no later than Friday, October 5. The cost for this year's trip is $286.50 per student ($256.50 + $30 transportation fee). As soon as we receive the results of our last two fundraising activities, you will receive a statement of your balance due.

A Behavior Contract and the Diocesan Field Trip Form must be signed by students participating in Outdoor Ed and by their parent(s). Please return these signed forms to your classroom teacher by Friday, October 5.

Please note the mailing address of the Institute in the Parent Packet. The children love to receive mail while they are at Nature's Classroom. However, the maildelivery is slow. We recommend that you mail letters a day or two before we leave, or send mail with the teachers to avoid delivery delays.

A final letter with exact instructions for time of departure from school and return to school will be sent home the week before our trip.
