MASS:  Tomorrow’s Mass has been planned by our 5th grade class.  All are welcome to join us for our weekly Liturgy at 8:15 am. 

VOLLEYBALL:  Congratulations to our Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys and Girls who won their Volleyball games last weekend.  Go Panthers!!!!!!!

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN:  The next class available at St. Irene is scheduled for October 11th.  You can register online by going to www.virtus.org .  Please remember that you must attend a PGC workshop in order to volunteer or work with children in any capacity.  All volunteers must also have a criminal background check.   
 
EDUCATIONAL OUTFITTERS:  FYI – We have a parent volunteer who is willing to do pick-ups now and then at Educational Outfitters.  Please call the office for more information.

HIGH SCHOOL VISITS:  The 7th and 8th graders are starting to receive information from our area Catholic high schools.  Each year, the high schools send representatives to our school to give our children information about their schools.  St. Francis High School visited on September 15th.  The following schools will be presenting in the future:

BenetAcademy:  October 18
Rosary High School, Marmion Academy, and Aurora Central Catholic High School:  October 20

Eighth grade parents:  Please mark your calendar for January 14, 2012 as the Catholic High School Entrance Exam Date.  Classes for preparation for this exam are offered at the Reading Tree in downtown Naperville.  Please contact the Reading Tree if you are interested in enrolling your child in this prep program.  Review books are also available at local bookstores.
