At St. Irene School, we pride ourselves on providing the highest caliber of academics in a setting that allows for individual attention and achievement.  It’s truly the best place for your child to shine.

We offer a spiraling curriculum that beings in preschool and culminates in advanced curriculum at the 8th grade level.  In fact, our junior high students routinely accomplish high school-level work in 7th and 8th grade.

The educational offering at St. Irene is rich and diverse — tackling challenging curriculum, piloting new educational programs for the Diocese and routinely exceeding state and national testing averages.  Our students are taught often-overlooked skills from the earliest ages, including public speaking, interviewing skills, creative writing and scientific exploration.  From preschool on, they are instructed in foreign language, music and art.

We offer unparalleled opportunities for hands-on experiential learning through week-long Outdoor Education at Nature’s Classroom for our 5th through 8th graders, to in-house programs in conjunction with University of Illinois Extension, DARE, Junior Achievement and Fermilab.

More importantly, the success of our graduates tell the tale.  Every year, our students are accepted into top-tier private schools like Philips-Exeter, Benet Academy, St. Francis High School, Marmion and Rosary.  In addition, many of our students that attend public high school place into honors programs immediately in their freshman year.
