How many years have you taught? This is my 7th year teaching.

Where did you go to school? My undergraduate degree is from Northern Illinois University; I received my Masters and ELL endorsement from Benedictine University.

Tell us a little about yourself (pets, family, etc). I grew up in Naperville with my parents and two older sisters and younger brother. I attended Saints Peter and Paul school Kindergarten-8th grade and then went to high school at Naperville North. I am a big country music fan and love my cowgirl boots. I enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with my family and friends. I recently got married in July. : )

Who was your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher was my high school math teacher. His fun personality made going to math class enjoyable. He was patient, varied his teaching techniques and truly cared about his students.

What was your favorite subject? Math

If you could be any animal, what would you be? I would be a dolphin because I love the water and the beach.

Why are you excited about this year at St. Irene School? I’m excited to meet my new group of preschoolers and to watch them develop socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually throughout the school year.

What are three words that best describe you? Patient, compassionate, crafty

Do you have a secret talent? What is it? I love finding the best deals when making a purchase.

You have a whole day to yourself – what would you do? If I had a whole day to myself, I would sit by the pool with a good book. max
